Also known as Zokniai Airport, Siauliai Airport is located 7kms southeast of Šiauliai, in northern Lithuania. Covering an area of 471 hectares, the airport is owned by the Lithuanian Army and it is the only airport in the Eastern part of the European Union to forgive noise restrictions. Šiauliai Airport is home to the NATO Baltic Air Policing forward deployment, providing airspace security for the three new Baltic members of NATO.
