San Ignacio de Velasco Airport
San Ignacio de Velasco airport, which only has a dirt airstrip, serves the small town of the same name in the south-central region of the province of Velasco. It is connected to Santa Cruz only via bus lines utilising a dirt highway for part of the way. It is the capital of the José Miguel de Velasco Province and the San Ignacio de Velasco Municipality in the Santa Cruz Department of Bolivia with a population c. 15,000. Some development of the airport is anticipated because of its isolation.
