Plácido de Castro International Airport serves the city of Rio Branco in western Brazil, capital and home of almost half the population of the state of Acre. Gol connects the city with various regional and national destinations, while LATAM Airlines offer services to a limited number of state capitals.
VINCI Airports commenced operation of Rio Branco Placido de Castro Airport on 30-Mar-2022, following the award of a 30 year concession by Brazil ANAC in Apr-2021. The airport was previously operated by Infraero.
