Reykjavík Airport is a regional airport serving the Icelandic capital, Reykjavík. Located on prime downtown land, it is the smaller and more centrally located airport serving Reykjavík, with the larger Keflavík International Airport located 50km west of Reykjavík. Located 2km from central Reykjavík, the airport handles exclusively short-haul domestic and regional services and light aircraft due its short runways and inner-city location. Icelandic regionals Air Iceland and Eagle Air are based at the airport.
