Oskarshamn Airport was a regional airport, closed in 1H2014. The airport was situated 11km to the north of the city centre of Oskarshamn, a coastal city in Kalmar County, Southern Sweden.
The airport suspended operations in Sep-2014 after 44 years of operations. The airport, on its website, said: "This means that all instrument landing systems are shut down, ILS (GP, localiser and DME), PAPI/APAPI aswell as NDB (DC/DH). The airport was constructed in 1970. Air service to/from Stockholm-Arlanda was closed down on 17-Apr-2014 and in May-2014, there was a decision by the municipality to close the airport. The nearest other airport is Kalmar Airport, 75km from Oskarshamn. The airport is still used for some general aviation.
