Golosón International Airport serves the Honduran coastal city of La Ceiba, the country's third largest city and a major tourist destination. The airport is well connected domestically by TACA Regional and Honduran carriers AeroCaribe de Honduras and Aerolineas Sosa, which has its hub at the airport. The airport is also served by regional Caribbean carriers, and by charters to Canada. United Airilnes is reportedly considering launching the first direct service from the United States to La Ceiba. The airport is operated by InterAirports - Aeropuertos de Honduras.
