Jericoacoara Airport serves the coastal township of Jericoacoara, and surrounding cities of Cruz and Parazinho, CE. Construction of the airport was completed in late 2016, as part of Ceará's Development Plan of Regional Aviation. The airport commenced commercial service operations on 28-Jul-2017, after Azul received approval from the Brazilian authorities to launch Recife-Jericoacoara service.
