Coronel FAP Francisco Secada Vignetta International Airport serves the fifth largest city of Peru, Iquitos, in the country's northern Amazonian Maynas province. Acting as a gateway to the Peruvian Amazon, Iquitos' inaccessibility by road increases the airport's importance to regional tourism and economic activity. The airport is operated by Aeropuertos del Perú.
