Galway Airport served the city of Galway, Ireland. The airport handled largely regional services to destinations within Ireland and the UK. Manx2.com and Aer Arann operates scheduled services at the airport. In Dec-2015, Galway County Council CEO Kevin Kelly said it is unlikely that Galway Airport would be used again for commercial services. All aviation services ceased at the airport on 15-Dec-2015 as an agreement with private operator Carnmore Aviation Ltd expired.
