The city is a major tourism destination due to its proximity to the Iguazu Falls. The airport is served by all major Brazilian carriers, with connections to most major cities in the country. Foz do Iguaçu is also served by a few international carriers, with services to Peru and Uruguay. The airport is operated by Infraero and operates 24 hours per day.
