About
Bacacheri Airport serves the Brazilian city of Curitiba. The airport commenced operations in 1930 and was used primarily as a military air base up until 1980 when it was transferred to state airport operator, Infraero. Scheduled passenger services operated at the airport until 1997. Bacacheri is now used for general aviation and aircraft maintenance, while Afonso Pena Airport handles the city's commercial services.
CCR won concession rights for Bacacheri Airport in Apr-2021. A contract was signed in Nov-2021 and CCR commenced operation of the airport in Mar-2022. The airport was previously operated by Infraero.
