Cuernavaca Mariano Matamoros Airport
General Mariano Matamoros Airport (also known as Cuernavaca International Airport) serves the Mexican city of Cueravaca, located 90km south of the Mexico City. Cuernavaca is a popular escape from Mexico City, and abuts the Sierra Madre Mountains. A number of carriers previously served the airport, though VivaAerobus is currently the sole operator. The facility is one of five in the Mexico City metropolitan area, together with Queretaro, Puebla, Mexico City and Toluca, and is operated by state-owned Aeropuerto de Cuernavaca SA.
