About

Copan Ruinas Airport is an airport in Honduras’ Copan region. The Honduran government undertook a USD7 million project, including the construction of a 352sqm terminal building, control tower and 1200m runway, and is intended to serve domestic and international tourist traffic to nearby archaeological sites. Works were expected to last to 2016, however the airport was inaugurated more than one year ahead of schedule on 10-Mar-2015.
