About
Ciudad del Carmen International Airport serves the Mexican coastal town of Ciudad del Carmen, home to 200,000 people on the edge of the Yucatan Peninsula. The town has been a hub for the oil industry in the Gulf of Mexico since discoveries off its coast in the 1970s. The airport offers limited services, primarily to the capital Mexico City as well as a few services to the United States. State-owned Aeropuertos y Servicios Auxiliares operates the airport, one of 20 in its network.
