The airport is owned by Chongqing Airport Group and commenced operations on 18-Dec-2020, recording the launch of its first service operated by Chongqing Airlines. The airport is equipped with a 2800m runway and a 6000sqm passenger terminal to accommodate up to 600,000 passengers p/a.
