Chengdu Tianfu International Airport serves the city of Chengdu and its surrounding areas as a second major airport. The airport is located approximately 50km southeast of city, at the juncture of Jianyang City and Jintang County. Chengdu is the third city in China’s midwest to have two international airports. Air China launched Chengdu Tianfu-Beijing Capital with Boeing 747-8 and Chengdu Tianfu-Shanghai Pudong with A330 on 27-Jun-2021, marking the official opening of Chengdu Tianfu International Airport.
