Carajás Airport serves the town of Parauapebas in the northern Brazilian state of Pará. The airport is located in the Carajás Mining Complex, one of the largest iron ore mines in the world. Vale constructed the airport in the 1980s to support its mining activities at Carajás. Carajás Airport is operated by Infraero.
