Cangyuan Washan Airport, located in Yunnan province in southwest China, commenced construction in Dec-2013. The category 4C airport was developed at an estimated CNY1590 million (USD248.4 million) and was designed to handle 270,000 passengers and 1080 tonnes of cargo p/a. Cangyuan Airport commenced operations on 08-Dec-2016, with the launch of Kunming-Cangyuan service by Lucky Air. It is the second airport in the prefecture-level city of Lincang, after Lincang Airport.
