Alfonso Bonilla Aragón International Airport serves Colombia's third city, Cali, the economic and cultural heart of southwestern Colombia. The airport is the third busiest in the country by passenger traffic and fourth by cargo traffic. The facility operates 24 hours per day and serves as an alternate for Bogota El Dorado International Airport. Cali is a focus city for Colombian flag carrier Avianca, and is served by a number of Latin American carriers, primarily from the western half of the continent. The airport is operated by Sociedad Concesionaria del Aeropuerto Internacional Alfonso Bonilla Aragón (Aerocali SA).
