About

Capital International Airport is an airport serving the new capital city of Egypt. It is approximately 45 kilometres (28 miles) east of Cairo and just outside the Second Greater Cairo Ring Road halfway to the seaport city of Suez. Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation (EHCAAN) opened the new Capital International Airport on 09-Jul-2019 for a trial period. The airport was inaugurated by Egypt's president on 29-Jun-2020.
