Vere Cornwall Bird International Airport serves the capital of Antigua and Barbuda, St John's. The city is a prime tourism desintation and one of the most developed in the Lesser Antilles, as well as home to the Eastern Caribbean Civil Aviation Authority. All major North American carriers serve VC Bird, with direct European connections provided by British Airways, Condor and Virgin Atlantic Airways, as well as charter services from Thomas Cook Airlines. The airport is operated by the Antigua and Barbuda Millennium Airport Corporation, and also serves as a hub and headquarters for LIAT.
