About

Sky Greenland is a proposed start-up by defunct carrier, Greenland Express. The Aalborg-based virtual carrier aimed to return to service in 2015, after suspending operations in Aug-2014 due to aircraft availability issues. Greenland Express rebranded to Sky Greenland, and acquired charter operator Denim Air ACMI in Jan-2016, and a majority stake (75%) in Finske Green Air in Feb-2016. Utilising Denim Air's existing AOC Sky Greenland is expected to commence scheduled services later in the year. Sky Greenland acquired two Fokker 50 regional jets and plans to acquire larger aircraft to operate flights to Europe, commencing in 2017.

In Nov-2016, Denim Air ACMI had its AOC revoked and subsequently declared bankruptcy in Jan-2017. It is unknown whether the suspension of Denim Air will affect the launch of the proposed Sky Greenland.
