About

Royal Fly-GH Airline was a planned regional carrier that changed its name from Fly540 Ghana to Royal Fly540 after previous investor fastjet sold its stake in the carrier to DWG-G Company in Jun-2015. Royal Fly-GH previously operated to destinations in Senegal and Equatorial Guinea from its base at Accra International Airport. On 16-May-2014, Fly-GH announced the suspension of its operations in Ghana, pending the restructure of the business. The carrier was expected to resume operations with new aircraft in 3Q2016. However, following the appointment of a liquidator on 06-Jun-2016, fastjet Plc stated the Ghanian affiliate no longer forms part of the Group’s consolidated accounts, and has been listed as a 'discontinued activity' in Oct-2018, Royal Fly-GH stated it plans to launch domestic operations in Ghana by 1Q2019, after receiving a renewed ACL from the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority on 25-Jun-2018. A revised launch date has not been advised, it is assumed that the carrier has abandoned plans to launch operations.
