About
NELLA Airlines is a proposed regional airline to be based in Brazil that will focus on connecting remote cities. NELLA Airlines announced a strategic partnership with Boeing on 29-Jul-2021. The airline is expecting delivery of a 737 on 31-Aug-2021, with a 777 due to arrive in Sep-2021.
In Aug-2021, NELLA Airlines announced its acquisition of Amaszonas.
In Nov-2021, NELLA Airlines CEO Mauricio Souza and Paraguay DINAC president Félix Kanazawa said Lineas Aereas Paraguayas' ownership will be transferred to NELLA, with the carrier to be rebranded as LAP by Nella. Mr Souza said the company is aiming to commence operations with two Boeing 737-800 aircraft in Mar-2022. A revised launch date has not been advised.
