Lineas Aereas Paraguayas - Air Paraguay (LAP) was established in 1953 as the flagship carrier of Paraguay. The state-owned airline operated domestic and international services from it's hub at Asuncion Silvio Pettirossi International Airport. Lineas Aereas Paraguayas ceased operations in Mar-1994, following the termination of European services. The brand was purchased by a Paraguayan-Ecuadorian consortium, SAN-SAETA, in Oct-1994.
