Lauda Air
About
Lauda Air was an Austrian carrier operating scheduled and charter services to holiday destinations throughout Europe and North Africa from its hub at Vienna International Airport. The carrier was merged into Austrian Airlines' operations on 1-Jul-2012. The Lauda Air brand was officially retired on 6-Apr-2013 and replaced by Austrian myHoliday. The new subsidiary is not an airline but a brand vehicle used to advertise Austrian's services aimed specifically for the leisure market. The carrier was founded in 1979 by Niki Lauda, a former formula-one driver.
