Dreamjet SAS, trading as La Compagnie, specialises in providing transatlantic Paris - New York services. The carrier utilises Boeing 757-200 equipment configured in a 74-seat, all-business class layout, leased from Icelandair. The carrier was established by Frantz Yvelin, the founder of L’Avion and Peter Luethi, a former CEO of Jet Airways.
On 02-Dec-2016, XL Airways France and La Compagnie announced plans for a merger, creating the first French long-haul low-fare group servicing both business and economy class on the New York-Paris service. Operational changes was not addressed during the announcement, nor was a timeline of the merger. However, both carriers are expected to retain their separate identities following the merger. La Compagnie CEO & Founder Frantz Yvelin announced his resignation to pursue other projects. Meanwhile, XL Airways CEO Laurent Magnin is expected to oversee the merger and become chief executive of both carriers. The new XL Airways-La Compagnie Group consolidated revenue will be over EUR400 million.
