About
Hamburg Airways was a scheduled carrier based in Hamburg Germany. The carrier was founded in Dec-2010 and launched services in Mar-2012. Hamburg Airways’ main operating bases were Düsseldorf Airport and Hamburg Airport with focus cities at Dresden Airport, Friedrichshafen Airport and Münster/Osnabrück Airport. Hamburg Airways ceased service operations on 20-Dec-2014, after the Federal Aviation Office suspended it's AOC. The carrier planned to restructure and resume operations at a later date, however, Hamburg Airways officially filed for bankruptcy protection on 14-Jan-2015. The carrier operated narrow body Airbus equipment to over 30 destinations in Europe whilst it was in-service.
