About

Flyr is a proposed LCC to be based in Norway. The airline intends to operate domestic services in Norway and serve popular destinations in Europe with Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The carrier will offer full booking, check in and boarding functionality through its app. Flyr intends to be an efficient and sustainable airline with a digital product and fewer but more targeted routes and schedules. The carrier also intends to support employment in Norway by employing its staff directly under Norwegian pay and conditions. The airline stated its founders, including CEO Tonje Wikstrøm Frislid and investor Eric G Braathen, have extensive experience with companies including BRA - Braathens Regional Airlines, Norwegian, SAS and Widerøe.

Flyr's first Boeing 737-800 aircraft, with registration LN-FGA, will arrive at Oslo Airport in early May-2021. Further deliveries are expected in Jun-2021 with fleet expansion planned throughout autumn 2021. Flyr is due to receive its AOC from Norway's Civil Aviation Authority shortly after delivery of its first Boeing 737-800 aircraft in May-2021. The start-up plans to begin ticket sales 30 days prior to commencing flights.
