Citrus was a proposed low cost Russian airline by S7 Group. The LCC's network planned to focus on direct interregional domestic routes, mainly in central Russia, bypassing Moscow hubs. Globus received an Air Operator's Certificate on 07-Feb-2022. S7 Airlines was expected to establish LCC subsidiary Citrus on the basis of the Globus AOC.
S7 Group shelved its Citrus LCC project in Jun-2022. S7 stated: "Deliveries of aircraft necessary for the launch of the LCC will not take place in 2022, therefore the development a carrier with this business model is unfortunately not possible at the moment". S7 Group reached a decision to merge Globus with S7 Airlines in Jun-2023.
