Bulgarian Eagle was a charter subsidiary established by Germania Group. The carrier operated wet lease services to European airline partners of parent carrier, Germania. The subsidiary commenced service operations with A319 aircraft, after it received an air operator's certificate from Bulgaria's Civil Aviation Authority on 03-Aug-2017. Parent carrier Germania terminated service operations on 05-Feb-2019, however the reported suspension had not affected Germania Flug AG. Bulgarian Eagle ceased operations on 05-Feb-2019, following the suspension of the parent carrier. Bulgarian also filed for insolvency on 07-Mar-2019.
