Founded in 2007, Bahrain Air was the second national carrier of Bahrain. The carrier was the first privately-owned national airline in Bahrain. From its base at Bahrain International Airport, Bahrain Air operated services to destinations in the Middle East, Asia, Europe and Africa.

On 12-Feb-2013 Bahrain Air shareholders' announced the company’s immediate suspension of operations and filed for voluntary liquidation.
