Al Maha Airways
About
Al Maha Airways was a proposed Saudi Arabian domestic carrier founded by Qatar Airways. The start-up was expected to operate services to the main cities of the Kingdom; Riyadh and Jeddah before moving to service second-tier cities using narrow and widebody equipment. Al Maha Airways initially planned to commence operations in 2015 and 2016, however, licensing issues and delays forced Qatar Airways Group to revise its plan for Al Maha. In Mar-2017, Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker confirmed the airline decided to "forego" plans for the start-up.
