Afrinat International Airlines
Afrinat International Airlines (Afrinat) was first established in 2002, providing scheduled services within West Africa. The carrier was based at Banjul International Airport, Gambia. However, Afrinat wound up its operations after only two years, ceasing services in 2004. Since 2013, the carrier had been attempting to relaunch its operations in Ghana. Afrinat had announced plans to launch services from Accra to New York JFK, effective 25-Jun-2014, and also between Accra and Harare, effective 26-Jun-2014. Afrinat planned to operate Boeing 747 equipment.
