Island Aviation Services Limited is the holding company that owns and operates Maldivian, formerly known as Island Aviation. Under a presidential decree, the Maldivian Government incorporated Island Aviation Services Ltd as a limited liability company on 13-Apr-2000. Island Aviation Services is 100% owned by the Maldivian Government. It's core businesses include:
- Airline services via Maldivian;
- Airport lounge services;
- Airport management - the company operates Ifuru Airport, Thimarafushi Airport and Dharavandhoo Airport;
- Engineering and maintenance services, and;
- Cargo services.
