About
Icelandair Group is the holding company of Icelandair and other travel industry companies. Founded in 1983 and based in Reykjavik, the group currently operates four subsidiaries including Icelandair, Icelandair Cargo, Loftleidir Icelandic and Icelandair VITA.
In Mar-2020, Icelandair integrated Air Iceland Connect into the operations of Icelandair. The air operator's certificate of Air Iceland Connect remained separate and its crew members remained employed by the company. Air Iceland Connect merged into Icelandair effective 16-Mar-2021, with both networks operating under the same brand.
