Amaszonas Group
About
Headquartered in La Paz, Amaszonas Group is the Latin American airline group established in 2000 following the formation of Bolivian regional carrier, Amaszonas Lineas Aereas. The airline group consists of three regional carriers operating in South America, including Amaszonas Lineas Aereas and Amaszonas Uruguay (formerly BQB Lineas Aereas). Each operate with seperate air operator certificates.
In 2015, the group launched Amaszonas del Paraguay as a regional subsidiary. Amaszonas sold its stake in the Paraguayan carrier in Jun-2018 to Avmax and Nostrum, and continue services to Paraguay through its existing airlines. Amaszonas del Paraguay rebranded as Paranair in Oct-2018.
