Air New Zealand Limited is the national airline of New Zealand and the parent company of several wholly owned subsidiaries including Air Nelson, Eagle Airways and Mount Cook Airline.
Air New Zealand is majority owned by the Government of New Zealand, with the remainder of shares being traded on both the New Zealand Exchange (NZX: AIR) and Australian Securities Exchange (ASX: AIZ).
In 1991, Air New Zealand introduced the ‘Link’ brand, and consolidated all three subsidiaries under that single brand. Subsidiaries operating as Air New Zealand 'Link' include:
- Mount Cook Airline (since Apr-1991)
- Air Nelson (since 1995)
- Eagle Airways (ceased on 26-Aug-2016)
