Wuhan Airport continues with expansion plans as airlines struggle

Wuhan Tianhe International Airport confirmed that its USD1.6 billion Terminal 3 project, part of the CAAC's recently announced new investment plan, will commence construction work in late 2009. The project, which is expected to be completed within three to four years, will include a terminal building, associated commercial facilities and a second runway. Once completed, the airport will have capacity for 35 million passengers p/a - making it one of the largest in central China.
