Volaris Update

Volaris chief commercial officer Holger Blankenstein discusses the airline’s expansion plans for the US market and Central America. Volaris is launching several routes to the US this year, including new southbound leisure focused routes such as Chicago to Huatulco and Zihuatanejo, which diversify Volaris away from its traditional focus on the VFR segment. Volaris is also looking at using its new A320neo fleet to open up longer routes to the US in the five to six hours range. In Central America, Volaris is pursuing expansion by using its newly launched Costa Rican subsidiary to open new routes within Central America and to the US.
