VietJet Air Update
VietJet Air marks a major milestone in Nov-2014 when it takes delivery of the first aircraft from the 63-aircraft order it placed in Feb-2014. Nov-2014 will also mark the launch of flights of its first overseas joint venture, Thai VietJet Air. VietJet, which launched operations in Dec-2011 and now leases 17 A320s, has quickly captured about 35% of the Vietnamese market and is starting to build up its international network. Taipei and Siem Reap services will be launched by the end of 2014, giving VietJet five international destinations. Several more international destinations are planned for 2015 including Indonesia, Malaysia and Japan.
