Tigerair Taiwan CEO Update

Taiwan is the last main Asian market to have an LCC, with Tigerair Taiwan becoming the country’s first LCC in late Sep-2013. Tigerair Taiwan, which is 90% owned by China Airlines, is also the first new airline for Taiwan in 23 years. The carrier aims to capture most of the local LCC market, supported by a plan to grow its fleet to 12 aircraft within three years. It currently operates just one route, Taipei-Singapore, but plans to expand its network over the next few months in Southeast Asia and North Asia.
