Following the announcement in Vienna on 16-Jan that nuclear-related sanctions against Iran had been lifted, CAPA announced a unique global leaders’ summit with the launch of the CAPA Iran Aviation Summit, which which took place in Tehran on 24-25 January 2016. This was the first major international aviation summit to be held in Iran in almost 40 years and it had the full backing of Iran’s aviation authorities and industry leaders.
