Transcript

Tadashi Matsushida:The U.S. market is very important. It's actually, in our company, it's a— we're saying that it's the future of our international business. Of course, we're doing well in Asia as well, and we're expanding in Europe as well. But the growth, as you know, the potential growth is huge for Asia. So we're trying to connect North America and Asia, and geographically Tokyo is a very good hub. So we're taking advantage of that. And also what helps us is the joint venture with United Airlines. In the past 5 years since we have started our joint venture with United, the connecting passengers between United and ANA has more than doubled. And our own traffic has increased by more than double as well. We actually launched several destinations in the past 5 years, including mid-sized cities such as Seattle, San Jose, or Vancouver. And the most recent gateway in North America for us is Houston. And Houston is actually a gateway to Latin America. So we have— we are very excited about it. And in the near future, we're actually thinking about flying direct from Tokyo to Mexico City. So that's in our radar for the future. But for the time being, because of a breakthrough in negotiation between Japan and the U.S. governments with regard to The daytime slots allocation at Haneda Airport. Some of our— the operation from the US probably will shift it from Narita to Haneda. Haneda, as you know, is very close to downtown area, so customers will hopefully have more convenience flying on ANA.
