Turkish Airlines to launch to Guangzhou, LAX and nine other cities in 2011

Europe's fastest growing airline, Turkish Airlines, has announced plans to launch services to 11 new destinations in 2011.

According to schedule plans confirmed by Turkish authorities, the flag carrier will commence the following routes:

  • Guangzhou, three times weekly, 30-Jan-2011;
  • Los Angeles, four times weekly, 03-Mar-2011;
  • Shiraz (Iran), four times weekly, 14-Mar-2011.

Services are also planned to Malaga (Spain), Salonika (Greece), Valencia (Spain), Toulouse (France), Manila (Philippines), Naples (Italy), Turin (Italy), Genoa (Italy) this year, although frequency plans and launch dates were not disclosed.

The Star Alliance member currently operates to 171 destinations, including 130 international and 41 domestic routes.
