Taiwan's China Airlines expects 'marginal loss' in H1

Taipei (XFN-ASIA) - China Airlines (2610.TW) said it expects
to register a "marginal loss" for the first half to June.
"That is all I can say right now," company spokesman Johnson Sun said. "Audited results will not become available until toward the end of the month."
He was responding to a story in the United Evening News that the carrier is expected to report a first-half loss of less than 100 mln twd.
In the first quarter to March, the company recorded a net loss of 805.83 mln twd, reversing a profit of 385.18 mln in the year-earlier period.
In today's trade, China Airlines closed down 0.60 twd at 13.00.
