Stansted Airport "operated against the public interest” – Competition Commission
The UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has published the Competition Commission's (CC) report on the price controls for BAA-operated London Stansted International Airport between 2009 and 2014. Amongst the recommendations is an increase in the maximum airport charges to GBP6.56 per passenger in 2009/10 and GBP7.05 pp in 2013/14. The CC also found that Stansted "pursued a course of conduct…against the public interest in respect of information supplied to airline customers, consultation about strategic development and quality of service issues.
