Southwest Airlines reports Jul-08 load factors fall sharply
Southwest Airlines reported its load factors fell a concerning 5.1 ppts in Jul-08 to 76.3%. Southwest also reports it transported 9.3 million passengers in Jul-08, of which 8.0 million were revenue passengers. Traffic (RPMs) fell 2.3% year-on-year, while the carrier's capacity increased (ASMs) 4.3% capacity (ASMs) during the period.
