Sharjah International Airport struggling to keep up with Air Arabia

In Dec-08, Sharjah International Airport announced plans to construct an additional USD354 million passenger terminal, to cope with accelerating demand, thanks mainly to the fast-charging Air Arabia. A plan for the new terminal is being developed, and although details of its capacity have not yet been disclosed, the new terminal is expected to be operational within two years.
