Shanghai Pudong leads the way in preparing for China's aviation leadership

Even before the opening of the massive new second terminal

at Shanghai Pudong International Airport next year, Shanghai Airport Authority

has announced plans to construct a third passenger terminal and an additional

two runways at the airport by 2015 to meet surging air travel demand. The expansion

will further boost the capacity of the airport to 80 million passengers p/a

and six million tonnes of freight in 2015.
